TUULI
Live improvisational world fusion music from Karelia. Nothing is rehearsed in advance — every piece is born in front of the audience.
The ensemble brings together instruments of different peoples — frame drums, riq, hang, jew’s harp, guitar, duduk — with meditative and dance energy. “Tuuli” is Finnish for “wind”. The concert feels like a journey: from the deserts of the East to the forests of Karelia.
One Man Ritual
Erik Markovsky alone on stage — sounding like a whole orchestra. Frame drums, riq, daf, hang, jew’s harp, live loops and electronics come together in a ritual born right in front of the audience.
A solo programme that shows the full range of a multi-instrumentalist: from quiet meditation to a powerful rhythmic climax. An acoustic set or a hybrid one — percussion together with a looper, electronics and synths.
Runes of Karelia
Kantele and frame drums: ancient Karelian melodies and runes — music in which you can hear the Kalevala. A quiet, deep, atmospheric programme about northern culture.
Sada Project
Live music of the Middle East: oud, bağlama and other strings — together with frame drums, bendir, darbuka, riq, daf and other Middle Eastern drums. Improvisation from Turkish and Persian modes to modern world fusion.
Songs Reimagined
Songs everyone grew up with — Soviet, pop and popular hits — in a subtle arrangement for voice and ethnic instruments. Recognisable, yet fresh and refined.
Rhythm of Voice
Just a voice and live rhythm — nothing extra. The project brings together different female vocalists, each with her own voice and tradition, from folk songs to world hits in a chamber arrangement. The line-up is chosen for the event and repertoire.
Pulse of the World
A journey through the drums of the world: frame drums, riq, daf, darbuka, hang, jew’s harp — stories about the traditions and live playing on every instrument. Can be combined with a workshop where the audience picks up the drums themselves.
Tatar music
Tatar folk and modern songs for voice and ethnic percussion — a dedicated programme for Tatar celebrations and events in Kazan and Tatarstan.
A separate format — permissible music for Muslim celebrations. Only voice and frame drum (daf) — an instrument considered permissible in many Islamic traditions. Nasheeds, spiritual songs and pure rhythm for mawlid, nikah, Ramadan and Eid al-Adha.
Music for dance and theatre
Live music and composition for choreography, theatre and performance — from chamber theatre to a battle with street dancers. Golden Mask nominee as a composer.

BRICS Summit 2024 in Kazan: this music greeted the presidents of more than 20 countries arriving at the summit — among them Xi Jinping, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. Erik assembled the team of musicians, directed the music and created the tracks for the performance.
